Idaho Gov. Brad Little is reminding the public to be fire wise and observe all state and federal ordinances during the 4th of July.

BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Gov. Brad Little posted an important reminder on YouTube to be "fire safe" during the 4th of July weekend.

He said enjoy time with family and friends but added that one simple spark can cause a wildfire.

Fireworks can start large wildfires that can devastate our ecosystems and take generations to recover, Little said in his video message.
