JEROME, Idaho — Editor's note: Idaho State Police issued a correction on Thursday, Dec. 3 stating Reyes was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Previous information stated he was not wearing one.
One person is dead after a rollover crash on Interstate 84 near Jerome.
Idaho State Police responded at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday to a crash in the westbound lanes of I-84 at milepost 161, four miles west of Jerome.
Investigators say Jose Reyes, 25, of Gooding, was westbound in a 2011 Nissan Altima when his car went off the right shoulder and rolled.
Police say Reyes was wearing a seatbelt.
He died from his injuries at the scene of the crash.
His next of kin has been notified.
