BOISE, Idaho — Brundage Ski + Ride school has been nominated for USA Today's 10 Best People's Choice Award, according to a news release sent out by the resort.

A panel of ski and travel experts selected 20 North American ski schools, with Brundage taking one of the selections. Nominees were announced on Oct. 23 and voting for the competition is open now. The public can submit votes, one per day, for the ski school they would like to see win.

This is Brundage's fourth nomination for this contest. Brundage has won Top 10 honors in the category of North America's Best Ski Resorts for the past three years. Brundage did win the top spot in 2020.

The USA Today panel praised Brundage's Tiny Tracks program for their approach to coaching. Tiny Tracks is for ages three to six. Brundage's innovative coaching approach was applauded, welcoming skiers and snowboarders of all ages to try the sports.

Brundage's 4x4 Learn to Ski + Ride program offers affordable private lessons, to jump start skills and build confidence for ages seven and up. For those who complete the program, an unlimited season pass is given for the remainder of the season.

Brundage is an independently owned ski resort, focused on providing family friendly experiences for all ages and skill levels.

"The fact that our learning programs have been called out specifically is very exciting," said Ken Rider, Brundage Mountain General Manager. "Giving first time skiers and riders an exceptional experience is the key to getting the next generation excited about the sport, and our instructors and trainers have worked incredibly hard to build skills and programs that are both fun and effective."

In partnership with their ski program, several Brundage Ski + Ride staff members have been recognized for excellence by the Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI). One instructor, Colleen Morishita, has been named Instructor of the Year.

Brundage plans on opening their new Mountain Adventure Center winter of 2024-25, which will feature modern space for a new Mountain Sports School, which is designed specifically for the needs of Brundage Mountain's year round coaching and learning programs.
