Police identify suspects involved in March vandalism of new Caldwell homes

Police allege three "juveniles" are the suspects in the vandalism of several newly constructed houses, and one has an estimated $10,000 worth of damage.

BOISE, Idaho — The Caldwell Police Department (CPD) said they identified the suspects they believe were involved in the vandalism of several newly constructed homes last month. 

According to CPD, they allege three "juveniles" vandalized the homes, and the case has been handed over to the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office. 

On March 17, CPD stated the latest incident happened around 2 a.m., and seven homes in the area of Smugglers Basin Street were damaged.

Police said when they arrived, they found a home with water coming from the front and the garage. The damage to the home is estimated to be $10,000. Police believe that the suspects opened a washer hookup valve and left it running. 

CPD said other homes in the area have had windows broken and doors kicked in.
