The themed bar is hosting a spooky pop-up event for one weekend starring a group ran by descendants of Ichabod Crane.

"With VOODOO CELLAR, we wanted to create a place that speaks to people that are into the creepy in the macabre or New Orleans. Just a unique kind of venue that nobody else has. But we also tried to keep it somewhere that people that aren't into that type of thing would like to visit as well," Hermansen said.

Besides hosting a slew of other interactive nights, the bar is hosting a special two-day pop-up experience. "The Haunted Tavern: A Dark Pop-Up Cocktail Experience" is on May 10 and 11. People can get information on pricing and tickets here. Hermansen said the show was already about 70% sold out.

"The pop-up that we have coming next weekend is actually put on by a national company called Rockstar Beer Production. Supposedly descendants of Ichabod Crane, and it's a cocktail dark pop up," he said. "For 90 minutes. They tell true allegedly true stories, haunting supernatural type stories from the Boise area and beyond. And they serve themed cocktails throughout the event."

For those who love gothic, horror and other spooky things the bar also has a lot of different events all year round.

"Every week we have multiple themed nights," Hermansen said."Tuesday nights are for horror film. We call it 'Terror Tuesdays.' Wednesday nights is karaoke. Thursday nights is a free entry beer pong tournament with $100 gift card to the winning team. And all of our weekly theme nights are totally free. And we also do from time to time we'll do other like unique dinner parties, or you know, cocktail hour parties, that type of thing."

He added, although the bar does have a theme, they also have activities for all different interests.

"We also tried to keep it somewhere that people who aren't into that type of thing would like to visit as well," he said. "We have three custom made beer pong tables, have retro gaming console gaming, Jenga, a bunch of other activities. And we do a lot of different theme nights that range from creepy to more, you know, chill."
