BAKER CITY, Ore. — Interstate 84 is now open both eastbound and westbound in eastern Oregon after law enforcement operations and limited safe truck parking in La Grande and Baker City cause multiple closures of the freeway.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) said I-84 was closed westbound between Ontario's exit 374 and exit 193, located 10 miles West of Pendleton around 11:50 a.m.

The eastbound route between exit 216, located six miles East of Pendleton, to exit 265 at La Grande was closed around 2:15 p.m. and opened at 8:30 p.m., according to ODOT.

ODOT said the eastbound closure was due to law enforcement investigation work and the westbound closure extended all the way to Ontario because of limited safe truck parking in Baker City and La Grande.

Oregon's Tollgate Highway (OR204) and OR245 were also closed due to winter weather unsafe for freeway traffic, but ODOT reported both roads are now open as the westbound freeway route became available.
