Washout along Highway 21 near Lucky Peak Reservoir

Highway 21 is still open near the washout. ITD plans to make repairs.

BOISE COUNTY, Idaho — Transportation officials are working to repair a washout along Idaho Highway 21.

A photo posted on the Boise County Emergency management Facebook page shows a large hole in the embankment next to the highway. 

The washout happened about a mile north of Spring Shores Road and the Ada County-Boise County line.

Boise County Emergency Management says the road is open and the Idaho Transportation Department has scheduled repair work.

Also, Highway 21 between Grandjean Junction and Banner Summit is open again. An avalanche closed the highway late last week but it has since been cleared.
