BOISE, Idaho — A section of Highway 21 known as “avalanche alley” is closed again.
The Idaho Transportation Department says until further notice the highway is closed to traffic between Grandjean and Banner Summit because of an avalanche.
"Avalanche alley" covers 12 miles along the stretch of highway that links Stanley and Lowman.
The highway closed last weekend while crews removed snow from the road. It reopened Sunday.
There has been dozens of avalanches on the road this season.
Be sure to check the latest road reports before heading out.
