Brundage Mountain Resort partially opens this upcoming weekend

Organizers said lift tickets will be $5 and there will be 50% savings on rental gear. 2023-24 season pass holders can use the chair lift for free.

BOISE, Idaho — Skiers will be able to preview the upcoming ski season at the Brundage Mountain Resorts this weekend as they have plans on a limited opening.

According to organizers, the ski resort will host a preview weekend and will open on Saturday, Dec. 2, as they spin up the Easy Street chair lift. Brundage also said they have been working throughout the week and are planning to build some terrain features for the preview weekend.

"Our team is trained, ready, and fired up to get the season started," said Ken Rider Brundage Mountain general manager. 

They said the lift tickets will be $5 and people needing to rent gear will see a 50% discount. 2023-24 season pass holders can use the life without additional charge.

"As we turn the calendar page from November to December we're all extra eager to hit the slopes," Rider said. "We're getting things rolling this weekend thanks to our base-area snowmaking, but we're hopeful that we'll all be riding the upper mountain on natural snowfall very, very soon."

They said they expect to see four to eight inches of snow, as the National Weather Service reported. 

The mountain will open the mountain will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Nov. 30 is the final day skiers can purchase a season pass at a discounted price.
