BOISE, Idaho — Friends, family, law enforcement and community members gathered on Tuesday to honor Ada County Deputy Tobin Bolter with a procession and memorial service.
Hundreds of first responders participated in a procession across the Treasure Valley prior to the 27-year-old services at the Ford Idaho Center. The route began in Eagle near the intersection of Highway 55 and State Street, before heading west to Star and then south to Nampa.
During Tuesday's events, the Boise Police Department handled emergency calls in the area typically covered by the Ada County Sheriff's Office, allowing deputies to attend the service.
The indoor service was closed to the general public and media, however the memorial was shown on the screen at the Idaho Center's outdoor amphitheater. The community gathered in the venue and along the procession route to join in remembering Bolter.
A live stream of the memorial service was provided by the Ada County Sheriff's Office for the public to watch around the Gem State and beyond. The indoor memorial was reserved for Bolter's family, friends and the law enforcement community.
KTVB Channel 7 carried Tuesday's service and reflected on Bolter's undeniable impact alongside former Eagle Police Chief Pat Calley. The Nampa Police Department said all roads in the area of the Ford Idaho Center are back open and traffic is normal.
Deputy Tobin Bolter died Sunday, April 21, after he was shot during a traffic stop the night before in Boise. Several organizations, law enforcement agencies and community members have honored Bolter with local candlelight vigils, memorials and fundraisers since his passing.

Dennis Mulqueen, the 65-year-old man suspected of shooting Bolter, was shot by Boise police hours after the traffic stop. He died from his injuries.
