Nampa woman arrested in connection to the 2022 death of Joe Flores

Police arrested 20-year-old Justina Amereah Cedillo on perjury charges. She is the seventh to be arrested in connection to Flores' death.

BOISE, Idaho — The Nampa Police Department (NPD) has arrested and charged a woman in relation to a deadly shooting in September 2022 that killed an innocent bystander, 23-year-old Joe Flores.

In a Thursday news release, the department said they arrested 20-year-old Justina Amereah Cedillo on Friday, May 17, on perjury charges, which means lying in court while under oath.

“We are proud to share this additional arrest information that is the result of hard work and great teamwork between the Nampa Police Department, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, Caldwell Police Department, Idaho Department of Corrections and Canyon County Prosecutor’s Office,” NPD Chief Joe Huff said.

The department said three of the six other suspects arrested in early May are also being charged with perjury in addition to their previous charges.

NPD stated the suspects below are facing additional charges:

  • Gabriel Bernal, 24: Two counts of perjury,
  • Pedro Navarro, 21: One count of perjury
  • Emanuel Bautista Roblero, 21: Three counts of perjury

Cedillo is the seventh person to be arrested in connection to the murder of Flores.

On Friday, May 3, the Nampa Police Department said they arrested six local gang members who allegedly were involved in the shooting that killed Flores in the parking lot in front of Buffalo Wild Wings in Nampa

On September 1, 2022, police found Flores near Buffalo Wild Wings with gunshot wounds. Officers and medical personnel performed lifesaving measures, but he died at the scene.

As KTVB previously reported, the family had been hoping for answers regarding their son's death.

"I hope our community knows cases are often not solved overnight, but I also hope they know how hard we’ll work when horrible crimes like this happen in Nampa. I know nothing will bring back Mr. Flores, but I hope his family has some closure with these arrests," Chief Huff said in Thursday's news release.

NPD said the investigation is ongoing and that he could face additional charges.

Police urge the public who has information about the case to contact them at (208) 343-COPS or at www.343.cops.com.
