Boise resident tearfully talks about her father's deportation at Treefort's Storyfort

The emotional speech was part of an immigration-themed event.

BOISE, Idaho — An emotional Storyfort talk was the first event at Treefort as the five-day music festival began Wednesday. 

Boise resident and Caldwell High School graduate Rixa Rivera, a DACA recipient, spoke about her father's deportation at the Storyfort event titled 'Border Stories - Modern Immigration.'

She was a toddler when she was brought into the U.S. illegally.
