BOISE, Idaho — According to GasBuddy, Boise saw a 6 cent dip in fuel prices this week.

Gas prices in Boise have fallen just under 6 cents, at 5.8 cents. The new average price of a gallon of gas in Boise now sits at $3.88 per gallon, according to GasBuddy's survey of 216 station in Boise. That price is 10 cents higher than a month ago, and are 2.7 cents higher than a year ago.

The cheapest station in Boise was priced at $3.76 per gallon on Sunday, and the most expensive station was priced at $4.07 per gallon, a difference of 31 cents.

As for the state, the cheapest station in Idaho was priced at $3.19 per gallon with the most expensive priced at $4.19 per gallon, a difference of a dollar.

Nationally, the price of gasoline has fallen by a cent in the last week, marking a new average price of $3.62 per gallon. The national average is up 3 cents from a month ago, and is 11 cents higher than a year ago.

"We've seen the national average fade slightly again as oil prices have cooled and our spring peak appears to be more confidently behind us," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "While refinery utilization rates last week indicated that there is still some refinery maintenance work to be done, oil prices have helped put downward pressure on gasoline prices, with oil falling below $80 per barrel last week. In addition, a weaker than expected jobs report is adding to some concerns that gasoline demand could remain weak through the summer driving season, which is just a few weeks from beginning. With the seasonal factors behind us, looking ahead, we expect gasoline prices to continue cooling alongside diesel prices as we look forward to Memorial Day weekend."
