Early voting starts in participating Idaho counties

Although some counties have voting at county courthouses, other places like Ada and Canyon counties have multiple locations.

IDAHO, USA — Beginning Oct. 23 through Nov. 3, counties in Idaho can start participating in early voting. Many counties have early voting at county courthouses but some places like Ada and Canyon Counties have different locations, according to a news release.

Ada County will have several early voting locations open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and also have a mobile voting unit. The county issued the following locations:

Eagle Public Library

Meridian City Hall

Ada County Elections

Boise City Hall

Mobile Voting Unit:

Ada County Elections has created a Mobile Voting Unit in order to bring the vote to the people. The Mobile Voting Unit is part of early voting and is designed to make voting even easier for residents. The Mobile Voting Unit visits high-traffic areas within Ada County and prints ballots on demand for any voter who wants to cast their ballot ahead of the upcoming election.

The Mobile Voting Unit will be available Monday through Friday, October 23 through November 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following dates and locations:

City of Nampa voters can only vote for council members who live in their district. For more information people can go to the City of Nampa's Districting Committee website. Early voting in Nampa is from Oct. 23 to Nov. 3. The City has not released the locations yet. 

In Canyon County there will be two early voting locations

Canyon County issued the following release:

The Canyon County Elections Office will have two locations for in-person early voting ahead of the November 7 Election. Eligible voters can vote at either of the two locations listed below between 8:00 and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the two-week early voting period that runs October 23 – November 3. Curbside voting will also be available at both early voting locations. Please note: due to poll worker staffing levels, curbside voting will not be offered at the polling locations on Election Day. All 37 polling locations are ADA-compliant.

Voters who plan to register to vote at one of the early voting locations must provide proof of identity AND proof of residence to be eligible to vote. For more information people can go to the county website
