Idaho Policy Institute releases interactive ballot measure map

The map shows where the 2018 ballot measures failed and succeeded on a precinct level basis.

BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Policy Institute, which is housed within Boise State, has released a map showing where the 2018 ballot measures failed and succeeded on a precinct level basis.

"This precinct map represents the preferences of Idahoans at the most granular level, where decisions often matter the most," said Greg Hill, director of the Idaho Policy Institute. "IPI is excited to make this tool available. We feel that the more information decision makers and the public have access to, the better informed those decisions will be."

Prop 1, which would have allowed for installation of historical horse racing-themed betting machines, failed to gather enough support, but Prop 2, a measure to expand Medicaid to low-income Idahoans who fell into the coverage gap passed with 60 percent of the vote.
