Unidentified body of woman to be buried

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) - Authorities in south-central Idaho say the body of an unidentified woman found floating in the Snake River will be buried.

Twin Falls County Coroner Dennis Chambers tells The Times-News that the burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls.

A kayaker spotted the body Sept. 9 near Centennial Waterfront Park.

The 5-foot-7, 177-pound woman with hazel eyes was dressed in black, had no identification and lacked distinguishing features such as a scar or tattoo. Her estimated age is 45 to 50.

Investigators say she likely jumped to her death from Perrine Bridge.

Her fingerprints have been placed in national databases.

Chambers says he and his staff will be at the burial, and anyone else who wishes to attend is welcome.
