Idaho State Police believe alcohol was a factor in a rollover crash on eastbound Interstate 84 that sent three men to the hospital Sunday morning. The crash happened just before 7 a.m. near the Eisenmann Road exit east of Boise.

Troopers say Christopher Howe, 24, of Mountain Home was driving east in a 2012 Ford Focus when he moved into the left lane to pass another vehicle. As he was changing back into the right lane, he overcorrected and went off the right shoulder of the highway. The car rolled and came to rest on its wheels.

Howe and his two passengers, Austin Shaff, 22, and Sean Sterling, 21, both of Nampa, were taken by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Police say all three men were wearing seatbelts.
