Suspects apprehended after high-speed chase from Idaho to Oregon

Police said the chase started in Owyhee County and ended in a crash in Ontario, Oregon. Both suspects fled on foot, but they were apprehended later.

BOISE, Idaho — Two people were arrested Wednesday after a multi-state high-speed police chase ended in a crash.

According to the Ontario City Police Department (OCPD), a police chase began on Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Owyhee County. The chase continued to I84 and crossed state lines into Ontario, Oregon. The suspect then took exit 376 at a high speed and crashed into another vehicle.

Police said two suspects ran from the scene towards an apartment building at 1257 NE 3rd Ave. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.

Police took one suspect into custody after they entered an apartment and were subdued by the person living there, police said. Later, police found the second suspect nearby. He was taken into custody without incident.

The incident is under investigation.
