NAMPA — An 87-year-old Nampa man died Thursday after the ATV he was driving crashed into a pickup.

Idaho State Police said they investigated the crash at around 9:48 a.m. on Ustick Road between Northside Boulevard and Midland Boulevard in Nampa.

John Kinghorn was driving a 2014 Honda ATV east on Ustick, and Dakota Bosworth, 31, of Caldwell, was driving east on Ustick in a 2017 Ram pickup.

ISP said Kinghorn turned into the road and hit the pickup as Bosworth was trying to pass.

Kinghorn was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. He later died from his injuries.

Kinghorn wasn't wearing a helmet. Bosworth was wearing a seat belt.

The road was blocked for about two hours while the crash was being investigated. ISP was assisted by the Canyon County Sheriff's Office and the Nampa Highway District.
