Idaho County Sheriff's Office searching for missing woman

BOISE, Idaho — Update: The sheriff's office said Friday that it found car parts and a license plate, signs of a crash, on US95 just north of Riggins along the river, which leads them to believe the vehicle is in the water. 

Crews are now working on recovering the car from the river.

Idaho County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing woman and asking the public for any information about her whereabouts.

Marsha Hayes, 73, was last seen in Riggins at 6:52 a.m. on Wednesday, driving a green 2006 Acura MDX north on US95 towards Lucile, the office states. The vehicle's license plate number is 023XJD. 

Sheriffs describe Hayes as being 5 feet, 1 inch tall and roughly 100 pounds. She has gray hair and blue eyes. She is possibly wearing a baseball cap, blue jeans and Reebok tennis shoes. A black and white Australian Shepherd is believed to be with her.

The sheriff's office urges the public, with any information about her whereabouts, to call (208) 983-1100 or 911. 

"We want to locate her and bring her home safely as her family is extremely concerned about her well being," the news release states.
