CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — The Idaho Transportation Department will close I-84 from the Franklin Road exit in Caldwell to the Karcher/Midland Exit in Nampa, starting on Monday night.

The freeway will be closed until Friday, April 26 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.

While the freeway is closed, Idaho Power crews will install new power lines that will go across the freeway.

During the closures, detours will be in place for drivers. ITD says eastbound and westbound drivers will need to exit the freeway at either Franklin Road or Karcher/Midland exits. Drivers can also use the detour through highway 20 and 26.
