High school teams volunteer at 7Cares Idaho Shares Day

With such a huge undertaking (drop-off locations from McCall to Twin Falls, over 30 different locations), our volunteers are crucial to success of 7Cares Idaho Shares Day.
Several local high school teams volunteered with KTVB for 7 Cares Idaho Shares Day, collecting food and monetary donations for those who need a little extra help this holiday season.

BOISE -- Now in its 11th year, 7Cares Idaho Shares Day has become one of the biggest days of giving in the state of Idaho.

While final numbers are still being calculated, it was evident in the droves of individuals, families and organizations who came out to donate food and money, that the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley are two of the most selfless communities in the country.

With such a huge undertaking (drop-off locations from McCall to Twin Falls, at over 30 different locations), our volunteers are crucial to success of 7Cares Idaho Shares Day.

Every year, we reach out to local high school athletic teams and ask for their help. These coaches, their players and parents always amaze us with their willingness to help, so eager to take time out of their busy season to make a difference for those who may need an extra hand during the holiday season.
