CALDWELL - The College of Idaho football team continues its brutal schedule with a trip to La Grande where it will face No. 10 Eastern Oregon on Saturday.

The Yotes (1-1) are riding high after a dominating 42-12 win on the road against Willamette last week. Meanwhile, Eastern Oregon is off to a 2-0 start, knocking off top-25 teams Southern Oregon and Montana Western.

The Mountaineers lead the Frontier Conference, averaging 40 points and 493 yards per game. But they are also allowing an average of 31.5 points per game, a weakness the Yotes will try to exploit on Saturday.

Against Willamette last week, the College of Idaho exploded through three quarters with quarterback Tyler Cox throwing for 216 yards and two touchdowns. The Boise High grad also added a pair of touchdown runs as the Yotes steamrolled the Bearcats.

The Yotes are tasked with one of the more difficult schedules in the NAIA this season, with nine of their 11 games being against opponents currently ranked in the Top 25.

They return to Simplot Stadium next week for a homecoming matchup against Rocky Mountain (2-1).
