UPDATE 3:29 PM: Meridian Police have reported that a family member safely located McKane Thomas Cole.
MERIDIAN -- Police are asking for the public's help tracking down a 21-year-old who walked away from his home in Meridian Wednesday night.
McKane Thomas Cole has high-functioning autism and is considered a "vulnerable adult," according to the department.
McKane left his house in the 2200 block of Sicily Street at about 10:15 p.m., and has not been found. He was reported missing to police at 8:35 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the missing man does not have a vehicle or a cell phone. He is described as 6’1” and 158 pounds, with short red hair and green eyes.
McKane was last seen wearing a dark green Columbia jacket and a sweater underneath, jeans with the cuffs rolled up, brown-and-black hiking boots, and black ankle socks.
