BOISE -- It looked like a classic episode of I Love Lucy in downtown Boise Saturday as people stripped off their shoes and socks and hopped into wooden barrels to squash grapes.
They were participating in the Capital City Public Market and Wood River Cellars' 1st Annual Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival.
Eight people at a time hopped into grape-filled barrels and raced to see how many grapes they could squish underneath their feet before time ran out.
Miranda Berner was one of the people who took a turn at grape stomping.
Squishy, Berner said of the sensation. You could feel it between your toes. I'd do it again. It's a great exfoliator.
Prizes were awarded to the top grape squishers.
