BOISE - Police are investigating after they say a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when she was hit by a car on Tuesday.

Police responded at around 5:30 p.m. to the intersection of Ustick Road and Constantine Street, where witnesses said a driver heading east on Ustick struck an elderly woman who was using the crosswalk.

The woman, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital.

The woman driving the car remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

As officers attempt to identify the pedestrian, anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact non-emergency dispatch at 208-377-6790.

Police said travel on Ustick was affected for more than two hours, but all lanes are now back open.
