LOWMAN — One young person was killed and another seriously injured in a rollover crash east of Lowman Monday evening.
The wreck happened at 6:35 p.m. near milepost 82 on Idaho 21.
Police say a Ford Ranger towing a trailer was headed south when the driver veered off the road, then overcorrected, rolling the pickup.
Eighteen-year-old Austin Smith of Nampa was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled, and died from his injuries at the scene. A juvenile in the pickup was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
Idaho 21 was completely blocked for six and a half hours as emergency crews worked.
