Mountain Home Country Music Festival announces a 2019 hiatus

KTVB spoke with the president of the organization behind the music festival about why they decided to go on hiatus after four years.

BOISE — For four years, the Mountain Home Country Music Festival has given country music fans a place to dust off their cowboy boots, see their favorite artists and have some fun!

On Friday though, organizers behind the music festival decided to press pause on the soundtrack.

“We just made the difficult decision to go on hiatus for 2019, it was considering a number of business factors,” Anne Hankins, Idaho Country Concerts President said.

The announcement comes just one month after this year's festival, which included headliners Eric Church Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley.

“Part of our business model is delivering the experience, so we want to take some time to figure out what our next steps would be because we want to ensure that we can deliver a sustainable world-class event,” Hankins said.
