BOISE, Idaho — A man was rescued Friday afternoon after his car went off Bogus Basin Road into a steep embankment.

According to the Boise Fire Department (BFD), they were contacted around 4 p.m. by the Idaho State Police and the Boise County for a rescue on Bogus Basin Road. When they made it to the scene, they discovered a car had careened 100 yards down a steep and snowy slope.

Boise Fire said the conditions were challenging, and they had to slowly lower rescuers to the car. They put the injured driver in a rescue basket, brought him up the hill, and took him to the hospital.

The current condition of the man is unknown.

No one else was injured in the crash, Boise Fire said.
