Man dies in Payette County rollover crash

A 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho — A 36-year-old man died Tuesday when his vehicle went off the road and rolled onto an embankment.

Idaho State Police (ISP) said the single-vehicle crash happened at 6:03 p.m. in Payette County on Sand Hollow Road and Southeast 8th Avenue.

The man was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 on Sand Hollow Road, when he drove off the right shoulder and hit an irrigation system before rolling onto Tunnel Road and coming to a stop on an embankment.

The driver died from his injuries on the scene, according to ISP.

Tunnel road was blocked for three hours. Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
