Kuna man dies after being hit by car in Canyon County

Police said the man was walking on Franklin Road when he was struck by a car.

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — A 31-year-old man from Kuna died after being hit by a car in Canyon County on Friday, Feb. 9 around 2:30 in the morning. According to Idaho State Police (ISP), the man was walking on Franklin Road, which is east of Star Road, and he died at the scene. 

The Kuna man was struck by a 25-year-old man from Meridian who was driving a 2006 Nissan Sentra going east on Franklin Road. The driver was not injured and police stated he was wearing his seatbelt.

It took crews three hours to clear the road. ISP is investigating.
