A Mountain Home woman was taken to a hospital in Gooding after a crash involving her SUV and a semi truck.

It happened shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday on eastbound Interstate 84 near Bliss.

Idaho State Police say Denise Shineflew, 41, of Mountain Home was passing vehicles on the right shoulder when her 2018 Ford Escape collided with back of a trailer that was being pulled by a 2016 Freightliner truck. Shineflew’s car rolled and came to rest on its side, partially blocking the right eastbound lane. The semi came to a safe stop on the shoulder.

Shineflew was transported by ground ambulance to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding. Police say she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Both eastbound lanes of I-84 were blocked for about 30 minutes, and the right eastbound lane was blocked for another 40 minutes.

ISP continues to investigate.
