Kick-off black history month tonight at the Morrison Center with the Idaho Fine Arts Academy and their performance of ‘Rhythm & Roots,’ including renowned guest artists Justine Nielsen (jazz composer and pianist), Bill Evans (choreographer and tap artist) and Shaun Brazell (jazz vocal artist and instrumentalist). The showcase is a collaboration between all the art disciplines of the academy and guidance from the visiting professional guest artists. From jazz music, jazz dance, gospel, blues, rock and original compositions based on students and guest artists lived experiences, the show is focused on black history.
