Grab a Brush and Help a Neighbor

Sponsored by NeighborWorks Boise

Established by NeighborWorks Boise in 1982, Paint The Town has helped over 3,300 households. Each June, hundreds of volunteers paint the homes of Treasure Valley seniors, veterans and disabled who are unable to do it on their own.

“It’s just an amazing chance to take care of the folks in the community that need it the most,” says Inga Hadder from NeighborWorks Boise.

At this year’s event on June 8th, Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity will also be completing home repairs for up to twelve of the homes. “Our goal is to make safe, decent, affordable housing for everybody,” says Janessa Chastain of Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity. “We also want to make sure that people that have homes can stay in them.”

To volunteer, donate supplies, or get on the waiting list to have your home painted, visit Nwboise.org/paint-the-town. Volunteers must register by June 1st.
