BOISE, Idaho — The Discovery Center of Idaho is making it easier for more families to enjoy what it has to offer.
On Tuesday, Idaho's only hands-on science center - located at 131 W. Myrtle St. in Boise - announced that it has joined Museums for All. It's a program that's designed to make high-quality museum learning resources more accessible to low-income families.
Museums for All - a signature access program of the Association of Children's Museums and the Institute of Museum and Library Services - lets families visit the Discovery Center for a minimal fee of $3 per person if they have an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.
The discount is good all year at any participating museum.
The Discovery Center says the discounted rate to EBT cardholders includes general admission only, and there will be an extra fee for special exhibitions.
