COUNCIL, Idaho — Students from Council High School on Monday brought hope and comfort to patients who are fighting for their lives.
Each year, students from the school's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club aim to build leadership skills and give back to their community through service projects.
This year, the students made eight quilts, and on Monday, they delivered them to cancer patients at St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute in Fruitland.
The kids also got a tour of the facility to learn more about cancer treatment and prevention.
In past years, the students have made quilts for members of the military and for people living in an assisted care facility.
