2 Idahoans participating in the Iditarod

Amanda Otto and Bryce Mumford compete in the 2024 Iditarod.

IDAHO, USA — The 52nd Iditarod began on Mar. 3 in Anchorage, Alaska and two of the competitors are from Idaho. Amanda Otto from Victor and Bryce Mumford from Preston are two of the thirty-eight competitors racing towards the finish line.

The race begins in Anchorage and ends in Nome, Alaska. This year the purse for the winner is 574,000. 

Otto raced in the 2022 Iditarod, this is Mumford's first time competing in the race.
