BOISE — St. Luke's says it plans to eliminate positions, but will also be creating 300 new ones.
St. Luke’s says the move is part of an organization redesign and new population health model.
A spokeswoman for St. Luke's says the population health model aims to improve the overall health of people, while working to lower the cost of health care.
St. Luke's says current employees can apply for the new job positions or if they prefer, can take severance.
St. Luke's told us they do not know how many employees this will affect, but they anticipate to lose less than one percent of their organization.
