HOMEDALE, Idaho — A Homedale sex offender accused of kidnapping a woman back in December is facing a total of ten new felonies.

Chancey Lee Baker, 36, was arraigned Thursday on eight felony counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16 and two felony counts of sexual abuse. Investigators have not released Baker's relationship with the child victim or victims.

The sexual abuse came to light as the Owyhee County Sheriff's Office investigated the kidnapping, which targeted a 36-year-old woman. The kidnapping happened Dec. 22 in an area off of Looten LAne.

Baker, 41-year-old Tressa Sipes and 24-year-old Mikal Christensen all face felony kidnapping charges in connection with that incident.

Baker has remained in the Owyhee County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond since his arrest.

According to court records, Baker is a registered sex offender who is currently on parole for sexually assaulting a child in Canyon County in 2004.

The case remains under investigation.
