NAMPA, Idaho — A Nampa man has been arrested on felony lewd conduct and sexual abuse charges after police say he touched a girl inappropriately.

Nampa police began their investigation after receiving a report in October 2018 that Jerecho Nicholai Zahara had touched the girl, who was under the age of 16, at a home on Skyview Drive in Nampa.

Zahara was arrested Thursday morning and booked into the Canyon County Jail on one count of lewd conduct with a child under 16 and two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16.

Police said in a Facebook post that the victim and the suspect knew each other.

Due to the number of children that were in contact with Zahara, police are concerned that there may be more victims.

Anyone with information on possible victims is asked to call Nampa Police Detective Chris Davenport at (208) 468-5623.

Zahara is expected to make his first court appearance on Friday.
