Minor arrested for impersonating police in Caldwell

Police said a community tip led them to the arrest.

CALDWELL, Idaho — A minor in Caldwell was arrested for impersonating a police officer. The Caldwell Police Department (CPD), said a community tip led them to the arrest on Mar. 14.

Following a tip, the "Caldwell Police Departments' Operation Safe Streets," began investigating that a person was using front-facing red lights in a white Dodge Charger in attempt to pull people over. Later that day, the suspect attempted to pull over an undercover officer.

Police said the minor was arrested and detained without incident. Community members can always come forward with tips and anyone who has any information on this case can call non-emergency dispatch at 208-454-7531.
