Man arrested in connection with aggravated assault case in Caldwell

36-year-old Sergio Herrera was arrested without incident, but police are still looking for more information.

BOISE, Idaho — The Caldwell Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team was dispatched Wednesday to arrest a suspect wanted in connection to an armed aggravated assault that happened on the evening on Nov. 3 at the Blue Eye Night Club in Caldwell. 

The SWAT team successfully arrested 36-year-old Sergio Herrera without incident at 7:30 pm near E. Ustick Road, said Caldwell Police Department. Herrera is facing aggravated assault charges.

Nampa police assisted with the operation. 

"Our brave men and women continue to exemplify the professionalism and relentless pursuit of justice that our community deserves. I am proud of their collaboration tonight which was crucial in the success of Mr. Herrera's capture," said Rex Ingram, Caldwell Chief of Police.
