Andrea Lutz

Andrea Lutz comes to Idaho's NewsChannel 7 from our neighboring state, Montana. She is thrilled to be taking her TV career to the next level in beautiful Boise. Born and raised in Kalispell, Montana, Andrea loves the great outdoors, especially exploring her favorite place on earth, Glacier National Park. Before coming to the Treasure Valley, Andrea attended the University of Montana where she received her degree in Broadcast Journalism. She prides herself on being a University of Montana Grizzly football fan. Andrea started out her career in her hometown working as Bureau Chief for KAJ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Montana. That is where she learned the ins-and-outs of the television news business. Later she moved back to her college town of Missoula and worked for KPAX-TV. During her time working in Montana, she met President Barack Obama when his 2008 campaign trail led him to Montana. Andrea has received numerous television reporting recognitions including a first place "Spot News" award from the Montana Broadcasters Association for her breaking news coverage of the closure of Smurfit Stone Container's Frenchtown mill, which displaced more than four-hundred workers. You can find Andrea skiing in the winter, and hiking, camping and boating in the summer. She loves a good cup of coffee and taking leisurely drives and she says she is excited to explore Idaho, especially Boise.
