Top Valentine's Day destinations around the valley

Many restaurants are offering fixed-price menus for you and your valentine.

BOISE, Idaho — Valentine's Day is fast approaching and on Today’s Morning News we have put together an emergency guide to help those who put off getting ready until this week.

First, we have a list of some of the top Valentine's Day destinations around the valley.

In Boise, almost every restaurant is doing something special for Valentine's Day, but there are some offering fixed-price menus for you and your valentine.

The Melting Pot, Chandlers, Ruth's Chris and Barbacoa are all popular spots in Boise offering deals.

For $70 per person at The Melting Pot, they're giving you a romantic five-course dinner package.

Barbacoa's "prix fixe" menu is $85 per person. The four-course dinner even includes a dozen roses.

For $50 and $55 Ruth's Chris and Chandlers have delicious dinners too. They're even offering the deal through the weekend in case Thursday is booked solid.

For lovers in Meridian, Deja Brew Laugh A Latte has a four-course dinner for $33 a person.

And in Eagle, Chateau des Fleurs is going over the top for the day of love, $85 per person gets you a three-course dinner served in their gold and platinum ballrooms.

if you're a not-so-traditional couple and want to do something a little bit different, you don't have to go to dinner.

You can go see arguably the most perfect romantic comedy, "When Harry Met Sally." There's a 21-plus showing on Valentine's Day at the Egyptian Theatre starting at 7 p.m.

If you and your significant other are more into the spookier things in life, the Old Pen has an event for you. Stroll through the old prison to see special exhibits on love stories and love letters from the Idaho State Penitentiary. That's happening from noon until 9 p.m.

And finally, if sports are your thing, head down to Wahooz for some bowling and bubbly. If you play between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Valentine's Day, they'll give you a free glass of champagne or sparkling cider with your game.
