BOISE - Idaho Gives organizers are hoping this year's day of giving will be bigger than ever, and they're providing more ways for Idahoans to get involved.
The goal for this year's event is set at $1.5 million, surpassing last year's total of $1.3 million. The Idaho Nonprofit Center, which organizes the annual fundraiser, is also hoping to help more nonprofits than ever before.
Idaho Gives 2018 will take place from midnight to midnight on Thursday, May 3.
In addition to donations, the more than 500 participating nonprofits will also compete for a share of more than $50,000 in prizes that will be given out throughout the day.
You can donate anytime between now and the end of Idaho Gives on May 3. To donate, or find participating organizations, click here. You can look up participating groups by name, location or mission.
Still looking for a nonprofit to support? Your money will go twice as far if you give to one of these groups. Generous donors have agreed to match donations for select organizations.

KTVB will be hosting a phone bank on Thursday. Representatives from Idaho Gives will be on hand throughout the day to take your donation. The number is 1-877-IDGIVES (434-4837)

If you're looking to get involved in person, there will be two events happening in Boise on May 3. The first will take place on the Basque Block in downtown Boise, which will serve as Idaho Gives headquarters throughout the day. Then starting at 5 p.m., Lost Grove Brewing will host a block party. La Pointe street in the Lusk District (between Ann Morrison Park & Boise State) will be closed to traffic for the all-ages event.
Both events are free and will feature food and drinks, entertainment, giveaways, and dozens of highlighted charities for donors to learn about.
