BOISE, Idaho — Morgan is so happy to be back in her beautiful Idahome with her KTVB family.
Having spent half her childhood and adulthood in the Treasure Valley, she prides herself on being part of the "boomerang generation" - she just can't stay away!
After two and a half years at our sister station KGW-TV in Portland, Ore., Morgan returned to Boise for her second stint at Idaho's NewsChannel 7.
At KTVB, she co-anchors the top-rated 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts and is an investigative reporter.
Morgan was born in San Diego and moved to Eagle, Idaho in 8th grade. She attended Eagle High School and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Broadcast Journalism & Sociology.
Throughout her career, Morgan has covered everything from politics and elections to human interest pieces and watchdog investigations.
After spending three and a half years in Boise after college, she moved on to KGW in 2019 where she continued enterprise reporting and became a jack of all trades working several different shifts.
Morgan had a front-row seat to history in Oregon, covering the biggest stories in the state, including the COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest and protests, the homeless crisis, massive wildfires, and ice storms. She also anchored the News at 4 and KGW's The Good Stuff, along with fill-in anchoring wherever needed.
Morgan’s honors include many Idaho Press Club awards, Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs Reporter of the Year, and an Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities award for respectful and outstanding reporting. She was nominated for an Emmy and contributed as the top story to Emmy-award-winning newscasts.
At KGW, she contributed to breaking news coverage of a gunman at a local high school that won an Edward R. Murrow Award.
When she's not chasing leads and digging into documents, Morgan loves outdoor adventures with friends, family and her fiancé. She is into hiking, biking, rafting, camping, and exploring new places in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She's also into exercising, hot yoga, wine, and coffee - lots of coffee.
