NAMPA -- Two men are facing felony charges for their roles in a revenge scheme police say left in a victim beaten, pepper-sprayed and held prisoner inside a Nampa RV for ten hours.

Jeffrey Don Griffith, 21, is charged with first-degree kidnapping and aggravated battery, while Eddie Dean Lundquist, 31, is charged with aggravated battery.

The violent details of the crime, which happened in late December, are laid out in a partially-redacted court document. According to police, the victim was lured to a fifth-wheel trailer in Nampa by the promise of oxycodone.

The victim told detectives he had brought a loaded .45 pistol with him, but the person he was with asked him to hand it over before they went into the trailer to get the drugs. The victim said he ejected the magazine from the gun, but kept one round in the chamber.

But once he stepped inside the RV, the victim said, he was rushed by several men wearing masks and hoods. He told police that despite the masks, he recognized Lundquist and Griffith as two of the attackers. According to the court document, the men knocked the victim down, pepper-spraying him, stomping on him and hitting him with a police baton.

The victim said his attackers ziptied his hands and ankles and got the .45 from his waistband. Lundquist and Griffith continued to beat the victim, according to witnesses, calling him a "rat" and a "snitch."

At one point, according to the court document, Griffith put the pistol into the victim's mouth. Police say the suspects took cellphone photos and videos of the attack.

The victim said his attackers also placed an electric dog collar on him and shocked him repeatedly with it. He estimated he was held captive in the RV for about ten hours total.

According to the detectives' interviews with a witness, the attack on the victim was orchestrated after a woman was allegedly held hostage and beaten up in Boise for stealing $4,000 about a month before. The victim in the Nampa assault denied involvement in that attack, and it's unclear whether any charges were filed in that case.

In an interview with investigators, both Lundquist and Griffith said they were at the trailer when the victim was assaulted, but denied taking part. Griffith later admitted to hitting the victim with the baton and stomping on his back, according to court documents.

Lundquist and Griffith were arrested Jan. 11 and booked into the Canyon County Jail. Both are due to appear in court Jan. 22.

Griffith is also awaiting sentencing in a case from last May in which police say he robbed a former employer at knifepoint at a Caldwell fast-food restaurant. According to court records, he pleaded guilty to grand theft in that case, but failed to appear at his scheduled sentencing.

Griffith faces up to life in prison if convicted of the most serious charge against him, while Lundquist faces a maximum of 15 years.
