CALDWELL -- A Nampa man was sentenced Friday to a decade behind bars for downloading child pornography.

Jorrell D. Williams, 23, will be eligible for parole in a year and a half.

Prosecutors say detectives during an investigation by the the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force learned Williams was downloading the illegal material using peer-to-peer network BitTorrent.

Investigators say Williams had searched for terms including “pedo mom, PTHC, mom, kids, and family fun pedo,” and had ultimately downloaded 265 files depicting child pornography.

“It’s obvious that the defendant in this case knowingly downloaded images and videos of child pornography based on some of the search terms he used, which are frankly appalling,” said Deputy Prosecutor Erica Kallin. “I’m thankful that he’s headed to prison where he can no longer victimize and exploit young children.”
Detectives say Williams claimed he had downloaded the files by accident while searching for adult pornography, but later admitted intentionally seeking out explicit material featuring children.

He pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual exploitation of a child in September. In addition to the prison time, WIlliams was ordered to register as a sex offender and pay $2,850 in fines, court costs and public defender reimbursement.
