IDAHO COUNTY -- The Idaho County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a 25-year-old who went missing Sunday morning.

Shawnta Larae Pankey of Grangeville was last seen walking near the Pine Bar along the Salmon River at about 10 a.m.

Pankey does not have a cell phone or a vehicle, and has not been in contact with her family, according to the sherff's office.

The missing woman is described as a white female with long red curly hair and brown eyes. She is about 5'4" and 135 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue-and-green tank top and pink cowboy boots. Pankey may have been carrying a brown leather purse, authorities say.

The Idaho County Sheriff's Office, Idaho County Sheriff's Search and Rescue, Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Bureau of Land Management and Pankey's family members are currently searching the area around Pine Bar and Graves Creek.

Anyone who has seen or heard from Pankey over the last few days is urged to contact Idaho County dispatch at 208-983-1100.
