Boise police investigating after man gives candy to kids at Simplot Sports Complex

Witnesses said a man stopped to talk to two young children who were away from their parents, gave them candy, then left the area quickly when a parent approached.

BOISE - Police are investigating a possible attempted child enticement after a man reportedly gave candy to kids at the Simplot Sports Complex.

Boise police said the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday near Field 3. Witnesses said a man stopped to talk to two young children who were away from their parents, gave them candy, then left the area quickly when a parent approached.

The man is described as white and around 5 feet 11 inches tall, having a slim build and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a blue jacket with cream-colored sleeves, darker, khaki-colored, tactical-style cargo pants and was carrying a dark-colored duffel bag.
